As more and more workplaces instigate social distancing policies, many have transitioned into a new remote working lifestyle. Although working from home may have its benefits its also challenging maintaining a work-life balance. Self-isolation, depression, anxiety, added work stress and uncertainty are taking a toll on our mental well being. Essential oils can help relieve common ailments associated with remote working while helping to stay calm, positive, focused, energized and productive. Transform your workspace according to your own scent preferences and therapeutic properties. The aromatic benefits of most essential oils can be gained by inhalation or diffuser. However, those that are sensitive to fragrances should be cautious in their scent selections. It is recommended to always test the oils especially those with strong intense scents. Some scents may trigger headaches. In that case a few drops of your desired oil can be placed on a cotton ball in a small bowl and placed on your home office desk.


How to choose the best essential oils for working from home.

Calming, Relaxation, Sedative - Melissa Leaf, Lavender, Chamomile, Bergamot, Cinnamon Leaf, Sweet Marjoram, Jasmine and Rose


NOTE:


Remember some essential oils can be toxic to pets so if you do have pets be sure to choose pet friendly scents or check with your veterinarian.


Pregnant or nursing women consult your physician first.


Use essential oils safely and responsibly, perform a skin patch first. Always source ethical brands known for their quality and purity. Also look for CANADA ORGANIC OR USDA ORGANIC, ISO certified symbols.


Never use essential oils undiluted. Doing so can cause skin irritations or even burns.


Photosensitivity. Certain essential oils including lemon , lime, grapefruit can increase skins sensitivity to the sun. Avoid topically applied areas to sunlight for at least 24 hours after applying.
